Balin Schneider is a Los Angeles–based filmmaker and founder of arvonia films, a documentary studio dedicated to journalistic cinema. His debut feature, Out of Time: The Material Issue Story, played in theaters nationwide and is now streaming on Prime Video. A longtime producer and writer, he has reported on foreign affairs, youth culture, and public education, earning a KAB Award for his interview with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Schneider holds a Master of Arts in Specialized Journalism from USC, where he trained in European Union reporting with the European External Action Service. His latest film, My Dearest Artsakh, tells the story of a teenager displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, the ethnically Armenian enclave in Azerbaijan, is streaming now on Documentary Plus.
